Automatic backup is not a new feature. Pages 2.0 has it.
I think there are a few more changes that are more major than fixing autocapitalization of "may."
Format bar.
Function key equivalents for styles.
Character background color (highlighting).
Paragraph borders and rules (lines between paragraphs)
Layering of graphic objects is more specific. There are foreground and background objects - to move an object from one layer to the other you have to do so explicitly. Selection of background objects is much easier with "Make Background Objects Selectable."
Graphic objects inline in table cells.
Convert Text to Table, Convert Table to Text.
Auto-completion in tables.
Automatic list creation.
In addition to having text box connection lines, you can arbitrarily connect and disconnect text boxes.
Page is no longer shrunk down when printing if you have the comment panel visible, but no actual comments.
When opening a document with missing fonts, you have the opportunity to replace those fonts, without having to dig around through the document yourself.
